Full‑Time Family Medicine Physician – Wound Care

National Wound Physician Group is hiring a full‑time Family Medicine Physician to provide advanced wound management in Newport News, VA. The role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and a 45‑hour work week without nights, call, or weekend responsibilities. Physicians will become experts in wound management, learn from certified trainers and fellowship directors, and utilize cutting‑edge technologies and modalities.

• Full‑time:
  Monday‑Friday 7am‑4pm (or part‑time). Minimum 3 days per week.
• No call or weekend clinical responsibilities.
• Provide modern bedside wound management at skilled nursing facilities and long‑term acute care hospitals.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Mobile practice within a 40‑60 mile radius; visit 2‑3 facilities per day treating 20‑30 patients per day.
• Clinical documentation at point of care in real‑time through our proprietary wound‑specific EMR.
• W2 employment contract; no work‑visa sponsorship available.

• Deliver bedside wound care to patients in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states.
• Utilize cutting‑edge clinical technologies and wound care modalities.
• Participate in a 6‑month wound care fellowship during onboarding.
• Maintain documented wound rounds and real‑time clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with site clinicians to advance wound management practices.

• Active unrestricted MD/DO license in the state of practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
