Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Officer to join a leading manufacturing business based on the Isle of Wight. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and delivery of HSE compliance of site.Responsibilities as a Health & Safety Officer:
- Collect, validate, report, and respond to HSE data
- Ensure compliance to HSE legislation across site/ projects
- Review and revise documents in support of the HSE Management System
- Ensure close collaboration with stakeholders on HSE matters
- Ensure Continuous review of the company's Safe Systems of Work in order to drive improvement
- Support the organization in regard to COSHH, Risk Assessment, Walks & Talks, Incident Management and Environmental Aspects.
- Internal & External Audits ISO 14001 and 45001
- Previous experience as a HSE Specialist and are interested in joining the renewables industry.
- Hold relevant education within HSE. (Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate),
- Knowledge in all aspects in COSHH assessment
- Having the experience from a similar HSE role in manufacturing
- Have experience of interpreting/reviewing/developing the HSE policies and processes.
- Have good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to quickly understand new systems.
- Have a good understanding of evaluating risk and planning risk management strategies.
- Our client is open to both a permanent position or a short term contract for the right candidate.
- £35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience
- Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm with a 1.30pm finish on a Fridays
