Retail Account Manager, Hong Kong Global Wealth Management

We are hiring a Retail Account Manager within the Hong Kong Global Wealth Management team, focused on growing our business with retail banks and insurance companies in Hong Kong. Key responsibilities for this role include driving sales campaigns, relationship building, and presenting PIMCO’s via the focus on promoting our fixed income and multi‑asset solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent relationship building and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of the retail bank and/or insurance distribution industry in Hong Kong.

We grew our HK Retail team last year, and this is an additional hire given the continued momentum in the business. This position reports to the Head of Hong Kong Global Wealth Management.

• Sales and Business Development:
  • Collaborate with our team to actively market and service PIMCO’s fixed income and multi-asset strategies to our retail bank and insurance partners in Hong Kong
  • Present on PIMCO’s investment views and products to clients via one-on-one meetings, branch briefings, client events, etc.
  • Leverage senior internal resources and specialists as appropriate, while also developing sufficient fixed income technical and macro expertise to represent the firm credibly
  • Develop and execute a business development and relationship management strategy for retail bank and insurance clients

  • Focus on building networks with the banks’ and insurance companies’ fund sales/product teams, investment counsellors, senior business and sales leaders
  • Collaborate with our broader Account Management team to cover relationships, both within Hong Kong and across Asia
• Professionalism:

  • Act as the primary contact for product-specific inquiries from clients and potential clients, offering up-to-date insights on the firm's investment philosophy, strategies, performance, etc.
• Market/Competitor Research:
  • Develop and sustain an in-depth understanding of the business opportunities and challenges within the retail bank and insurance segment in Hong Kong
