Commercial Account Manager –

Location: Any EPIC Brokers office – 1 day a week in the office is required.
What You’ll Do- Process applications, policies, endorsements, binders, certificates, audit requests and other servicing items during non‑renewal periods.
- Assist clients with policy coverage, exclusions, and related questions, and assist Producers in servicing clients.
- Service client accounts with oversight of Producers or Account Executives – including research/analysis and handling client questions on coverage and other contractual issues.
- Conduct renewal processes with oversight of Producers or Account Executives, performing exposure analysis, strategizing with Producers/Account Executives and clients, arranging market comparisons, obtaining and evaluating quotes, negotiating rates and commissions on behalf of clients, preparing proposals, and ensuring accuracy of binders.
- Provide support to Producers and Account Executives – preparing presentations and proposals and participating in meetings with prospective clients.
- Maintain client files in appropriate systems, prepare billing, and provide standard office/administrative support.
- Build and maintain high levels of trust and confidence with clients by initiating introductions, maintaining periodic contacts, and responding promptly to resolve client questions and issues.
- Process all applications, policies, endorsements, mail, binders, schedules, certificates, audits, and other items related to the servicing of client policies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Inform and educate clients about policy coverage changes, exclusions, and insurance coverage needs.
- Assist clients in making coverage changes.
- Responsible for timely, accurate invoicing and monthly expirations.
- Meet all quality and timeliness standards in the Agency Management System while properly documenting all activity.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Determine strategy in conjunction with the Sales Team – coverage determination, target pricing, marketing determination.
- Submit applications with proper supporting documentation and follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotes and policies.
- Aggressively and professionally negotiate premiums and commissions with underwriters and wholesalers.
- Prepare proposals and provide technical support in the sales process.
- Refer current and prospective clients to EPIC’s Employee Benefits and Private Client Departments when appropriate.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Set priorities and manage workflow for self to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of all responsibilities.
- Maintain cordial and effective relations with clients, co‑workers, carriers, wholesalers, vendors, and other business contacts.
- Maintain up‑to‑date proposals, workflow logs, manuals or other required documentation and records.
- Interact with others effectively utilizing communication skills and providing guidance to achieve business goals.
- Stay informed about industry information, new product or program developments, coverages, legislation, and technology.
- Work effectively to resolve problems or enhance service in a timely manner.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment juggling multiple tasks.
- Full knowledge of Property/Casualty lines of coverage and services.
- Recognize problems and respond appropriately.
- Analytical thinking to draw solid conclusions.
- Experience with Agency Management Systems, rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations to manage clients and prospects.
- Advanced knowledge of internet and Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and time‑management abilities.
- Strong prioritization and multi‑tasking skills.
- Work independently and with supervision.
