The role involves engaging customers to understand their needs and maximizing sales in on-trend and luxury beauty brands. Ideal candidates are passionate about beauty trends, makeup, and skincare, with the ability to build a customer following both in-store and digitally.

• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer beauty goals
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers
• Set and achieve sales goals for both in-store and digital selling using selling tools (including text and social media)
• Book appointments and drive sales for in-store beauty events and services
• Keep department customer-ready through organization and cleanliness
• Stay current with beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings provided by Nordstrom and brand partners
• Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare
• Excellent ability to connect with customers, proactively handle concerns and contribute to a positive team environment
• Empathy and respect for all customers during makeup and skincare application
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
• Drive to achieve sales goals with interest in networking and technology
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and merchandise handling
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
• Ability to handle bulky items and reach to lift items above head height
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
