Job Description Hours Per Week
40.00 Hours Per Day, 8.00 Days Per Week, 5.00 Shift Time: DAYS - 8 hour shifts.
Local contract starting 3‑month contract, with possibility of extension or conversion depending on business need and/or performance.
DAYS - 8 hour shifts RequiredCA RN, BLS, ACLS Preferred; CNOR from CCI. Please submit Nursys report for review as part of submission package.

Job SummaryThe Clinical Nurse II – Perioperative role provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act for assigned patients in a Perioperative unit.

- HOI Surgery Center
- The nurse collaborates with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely and appropriate quality patient care.
- Provides physical assessments, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administrations, specimen collection, meeting nutritional needs, and teaching and discharge instructions of the patients assigned.
- Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence‑based best practices to meet patient care needs.
- Evaluates and adjusts the nursing care process as necessary with consultation as needed and confers with the appropriate resource personnel when making ethical/legal/medical dilemma decisions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Additionally, the Clinical Nurse II meets the requirements outlined in the Clinical Ladder program respective to the department.
- The Clinical Nurse III demonstrates a commitment to hospital involvement and professional growth by participating in committees, attending related meetings, and presenting education projects and/or supplemental activities.
- One (1) year recent Operating Room (OR) experience in an acute care hospital.
- Recent completion of the Hoag Perioperative Training Program.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Required Certifications & Licensure- Registered Nurse in the State of California – current and in good standing.
- Current BLS certification prior to clinical rotation.
- CVOR: ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
- Operating Room (OR): CNOR.
