PB Applications Analyst II - Epic : IT Epic — Hoag Health System

• Configure, test, implement and support the clinical, financial, or administrative Epic modules within their area of support.
• Oversee practices and processes to ensure data integrity, safety and availability; collaborate with stakeholders to optimize system configuration, function and access; recommend technology solutions based on business needs; be knowledgeable about policies, procedures.
• Manage problem tickets and service requests, data retrieval requests, system performance problems and optimization opportunities; participate in timely resolution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex application errors and other system issues; lead build and maintenance of system dictionaries, profiles, tables and configuration points; identify and implement enhancement requests.
• Manage small to medium optimization requests; coordinate with vendor as appropriate; test configurations, customizations and new releases prior to production.
• Assist end-users with design and testing of system reports; communicate changes to end users and staff; participate in system design, validation and remediation sessions; support data flow and interface files.
• Develop and maintain documentation outlining standard operating and support procedures.
• Perform duties with minimal supervision; other duties as assigned.

• Education and Experience
• Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Professional Billing application build analyst or equivalent in the assigned functional area.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project).
• Experience participating as a project team member on a large-scale project.
• Preferred
• Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Three (3) or more years’ experience as a Professional Billing application build analyst in a health care environment, preferably in an integrated health system.
• PB Coding experience related to Epic.
• License
• Current CA driver’s license for local travel.
• Certifications
• Epic training and certification in Professional Billing application area is required; certification includes completing application certification projects and tests. Have at least one secondary certification and/or badge relevant to supported module.
• Certifications Preferred
• Epic Hospital Billing Certification; CCS.
