Job Description
The Key People Practices Events Leader plays a pivotal role in People Operations, leading this specialized People Practices services support team predominantly serving People Practices teammates, coaches, and hiring managers, with a strong focus on employee data and HRIS (Workday) transactions. This role reports to the People Services Leader.
Key Responsibilities- Improve process workflows and create best practices documentation for highly transaction-based work, applying advanced understanding and supervisory experience to handle complex departmental activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate processes, policies, and programs.
- Lead a team of Key People Practices Specialists who administer various tasks such as background checks, performance management administration, talent assessment administration, certifications management, LMS platform administration, employee recognition program administration, employee transfers in Workday, employee promotions in Workday, voluntary separations processing in Workday, and compensation administration.
- Partner with Business People Practices and the Communications & Branding team to provide input and collaborate on content for PP events such as Townhall slides or Peer Group data.
- Address inquiries and case escalations from Key People Practices Specialists that require deep subject matter expertise.
- Communicate regularly with the team on process, policy, or program updates, and maintain a close connection with the Workday technology team for systems updates.
- Ensure compliance‑driven processes are adhered to and consistently applied across the enterprise (e.g., background checks, I‑9, E‑Verify, separations).
- Coach Key People Practices Specialists who have an enterprise‑based span, inclusive of admin and craft employees.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, communication, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of experience in People Practices with strong subject matter expertise.
- Experience with Workday HRIS system a plus.
- Experience in compensation administration a plus.
