Position SummaryThe Registered Dietitian (RD) or Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) provides comprehensive nutrition assessment, counseling, and education to patients and communities. This role involves designing individualized nutrition care plans, implementing medical nutrition therapy, and promoting overall health and wellness. The RD/LDN works collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough nutritional assessments including dietary intake, medical history, and laboratory data
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nutrition care plans for patients with acute and chronic conditions
- Provide medical nutrition therapy for conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, renal disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and obesity
- Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition interventions as needed
- Deliver nutrition education and counseling to individuals, families, and groups
- Support public health initiatives and community programs related to nutrition and wellness
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
- Stay current with evidence-based nutrition research and maintain RD/LDN credentials through continuing education
- Participate in quality improvement projects, policy development, and staff training related to nutrition services
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
- Completion of an accredited dietetic internship or equivalent supervised practice program
- Active Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
and/or active Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) license (as applicable by state) - Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, nutrition education, and health promotion
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
5–10 hours per week
, during normal business hours
(Monday – Friday between 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. PST)
CompensationW2 part time role pay between $28 to $32 an hour
