Newport Beach Clinic and virtual sessions.

Role SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Yoga Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a certified yoga instructor with specialized training and experience in therapeutic yoga techniques. As a Yoga Therapist, you will work closely with clients to develop personalized yoga programs tailored to their specific needs and goals, helping them overcome physical, mental, and emotional challenges to achieve optimal well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical, mental, and emotional health to determine their unique wellness needs.
- Develop individualized yoga therapy plans based on assessments, incorporating appropriate yoga postures, breathing exercises, meditation techniques, and relaxation practices.
- Lead one-on-one or group yoga therapy sessions, providing guidance and support to clients as they progress through their personalized programs.
- Monitor clients’ progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure ongoing improvement and attainment of wellness goals.
- Educate clients about the principles of yoga therapy and holistic wellness practices, empowering them to take an active role in their own health and well-being.
- Collaborate with other members of the wellness team to coordinate integrated care plans for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client assessments, progress notes, and therapy plans in accordance with professional standards and confidentiality guidelines.
- Stay informed about developments in the field of yoga therapy and integrative holistic wellness, participating in continuing education and professional development activities as needed.
- Certified yoga instructor with a minimum of 5 years of experience teaching yoga.
- Additional training and certification in yoga therapy from a recognized program or institution.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and psychology, with the ability to apply this knowledge to the practice of yoga therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others achieve their wellness goals.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and client confidentiality.
- Experience working with diverse populations and individuals with special needs or chronic health conditions.
- Knowledge of complementary holistic wellness modalities, such as mindfulness meditation or energy healing.
- Experience using technology platforms for virtual yoga therapy sessions or telehealth consultations.
Time Commitment Minimum: 10-20 hours per week, during normal business hours (Monday - Friday between 8 a.m.
- 5 p.m. PST).
Compensation: $50 per hour
