Senior Financial Analyst

About the Opportunity

We are supporting an innovative public company in Orange County seeking a results-driven Financial Analyst to join their corporate finance team. This is a key role responsible for end-to-end financial planning and analysis, including month-end close reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.

• Own and execute the month-end reporting and analysis process, including preparation and review of financial statements and KPIs.
• Deliver timely variance analysis against budgets and forecasts to support senior leadership decision-making.
• Ensure accurate cost reporting and perform root cause analysis for unexpected variances.
• Lead recurring budgeting, forecasting, and mid-year planning processes.
• Design and maintain financial models to evaluate business initiatives and support ad hoc projects.
• Retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data from legacy and current systems to support financial reporting.
• Prepare internal reports with commentary on financial performance and key trends.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with department leaders to guide spend management and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Contribute to the evolution of financial KPIs and reporting tools that drive strategic decisions.
• Assist in the preparation of cash flow statements, board presentations, and SEC reporting support.
• Play an active role in the continuous improvement and automation of financial processes and tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA is a plus.
• 5-10 years of progressive experience in financial analysis or corporate finance.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, variance analysis, and modeling techniques.
• Prior experience with monthly close cycles and financial statement preparation.
• Comfort working with large datasets and making sense of incomplete information.
• Advanced Excel skills required; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Workday Adaptive Planning, or similar tools preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner with multiple business functions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
