The Irvine office of Stantec is seeking a part‑time Engineering Intern to join our multi‑disciplinary team of integrated water professionals, each committed to delivering sound and strategic consulting services to a range of local, regional, state, and federal clients.

• Gain experience in various areas including water‑related infrastructure and water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Participate in multi‑disciplinary teams on water projects throughout California and the western U.S.
• Conduct technical evaluations, supporting planning and design of water supply, water treatment, and wastewater projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, project engineers and staff, clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors.
• Assist technical staff with various project tasks, including researching, compiling, and evaluating project data, preparing reports, performing calculations for design projects, with exposure to CAD, GIS, and design.
• Perform project administration including preparation of reports, gathering information, drafting proposals and correspondence, and completing progress reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work in diverse team environments, interacting with staff, clients, and stakeholders
• Willingness to perform field work as needed

Entering into (within 4 months) or in progress toward earning a Bachelor’s degree (minimum) or Master’s degree in civil/environmental engineering, or related field.

Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Range:

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
