This oppountity is for a full-time position at our office located in Newport Beach, Calfironia.
Core Responsibilities- Field Work: Lead and oversee field-based characterization tasks, including soil, groundwater, and soil vapor assessments. Coordinate with subcontractors (drillers, labs, utility locators) to ensure high-quality data collection.
- Technical Writing: Draft high-level technical documents, including ASTM-standard Phase I ESAs, Phase II Environmental Site Investigations (ESI), and Remedial Action Work Plans (RAWP).
- Project Operations: Manage project life cycles by tracking budgets, maintaining strict schedules, and ensuring seamless communication between the project team and the client.
- Regulatory Liaison: Interface directly with California regulatory agencies (e.g., DTSC, RWQCB, and local CUPAs) to navigate site closures and compliance requirements.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 0 to 4 years of experience.
- Communication: Proven ability to translate complex field data into clear, actionable updates for project managers and clients.
- Organizational Excellence: Strong time-management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Certification: 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is preferred (will provide training for the right candidate).
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with California environmental regulations and Cal/OSHA safety standards is a significant plus.
