Senior Accountant
Senior Accountant at Canterbury Consulting seeks an intellectually curious, driven accountant to tackle intricate challenges. CoreJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial Close Ownership:
Lead the execution and review of monthly and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion. - Complex General Ledger & Reconciliations:
Own and perform balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, including intercompany transactions (11 subsidiaries), foreign currency, and stock-related transactions. - Internal Control & Quality Review:
Review, audit, approve, and correct work initiated by others; act as a primary quality control and compliance checkpoint. - Operational & Specialized Tasks:
Client Billing, Accounts Payable & Receivable oversight, Payroll & Expense Management. - Reporting & Compliance Support:
Prepare schedules and analyses for external audits and tax returns; assist in internal financial reporting. - Problem Solving & Improvement:
Identify and resolve accounting problems; recommend and implement process improvements and controls.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive General Ledger accounting experience; experience in the industry is a plus. Ability to independently own full month-end close and resolve complex issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Technical
Skills:
Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and working knowledge of accounting software/ERP;
Net Suite is a plus. - Competencies:
Analytical skills, attention to detail, high achievement, and commitment to continuous growth; strong work ethic and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Starting at $85,000–$90,000 with a defined promotional track to $95,000 within 12–18 months based on performance.

Compensation: $85,000–$90,000 per year.
