Description

Responsibilities:

  • Examine the contents of incoming shipments and compare them to invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Inspect for Damage:
    • Inspect packages for any damages or discrepancies and report them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Record received items, update inventory records in the system, and maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Sort and store items in designated areas, ensuring proper placement for efficient access and inventory management.
  • Keep the receiving area, including the loading dock, clean and organized.
  • Adhere to Safety:
    • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Attention to Detail:
    Critical for accurately checking shipments against documentation.
  • Physical Stamina:
    The role is active and requires standing, walking, and lifting throughout the day.
  • Basic Numeracy:
    Essential for counting and verifying quantities of items.

    Required for updating inventory records and using computer systems.

    Necessary for sorting, storing, and managing inventory effectively.
