Pre-Operative​/PACU RN - PRN

Georgia Bone – Newnan, 1755 Highway 34 E, Suite 3300, Newnan, GA 30265, USA

Shift: 4 days, 10 hours/day,  PRN

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

• Direct and be accountable for the nursing care of patients in the Pre‑Operative Assessment and Testing outpatient setting
• Ability to teach and share knowledge with ancillary services (anesthesia), and physicians in patient preparation for surgical procedures.
• Ability to multi‑task with excellent telephone communication and charting skills
• Strong empathy when dealing with the patient and family undergoing surgical interventions
• Good interpersonal skills
• Organize and deliver pre‑operative patient education, based on the specific needs for the patient
• Task include gathering histories and performing physicals, use anesthesia guidelines for pre‑operative testing if not previously ordered by surgeon. Gather and evaluate lab work, EKG's, and surgical clearances

Qualifications

• Must hold current license for a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia
• 2+ years experience in Pre‑Operative Setting
