CNC Machine Operator

Title:
Laser Cutting Machine Operator

TRC is hiring immediately on behalf of our client, a global leader in industrial automation and advanced manufacturing solutions. designs and manufactures highly specialized automation systems used in glass production, building materials, robotics, and intralogistics worldwide.

Shifts Available:

• Monday–Thursday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

or

• Friday–Sunday | 5:30 PM – 3:30 AM

Pay Range: $25-$30 based on experience

What You’ll Do

• Create and edit CNC laser programs using CAM software

• Optimize nesting to maximize material utilization and reduce scrap

• Interpret drawings, DXF files, and CAD models

• Select appropriate cutting parameters based on material and thickness

• Troubleshoot and refine programs to improve efficiency and cut quality

Machine Setup & Operation

• Set up and operate fiber or CO₂ laser cutting machine

• Load materials and verify correct grade and thickness

• Install and align nozzles, lenses, and consumables

• Monitor operations and adjust parameters as needed

• Remove finished parts and perform basic finishing (deburring, sorting, labeling)

Performance Metrics

• Material utilization

• Scrap reduction

• On-time production

• First-pass yield

• Machine uptime

Work Environment

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
