The Manufacturing & Maintenance Facilities Engineer is responsible for the reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance of all plant utilities, building systems, and wastewater operations. This role ensures that facility infrastructure supports safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing. The engineer oversees utilities (steam, HVAC, compressed air, water, chiller), wastewater treatment systems, building maintenance, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement projects that enhance site performance and environmental compliance.
He/she manages Capex Projects related to equipment and the facility.
The Controls & Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing Siemens PLC-based automation systems and plant electrical equipment in a fermentation-based soy sauce manufacturing facility.
This role combines hands‑on electrical maintenance with PLC logic support and process control adjustments to ensure system stability, process reliability, and safe plant operation.
Essential Functions PLC & Automation Control / PLC- Troubleshoot Siemens PLC systems and control panels.
- Monitor and adjust process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow, timing).
- Modify PLC logic as required with proper documentation and approval.
- Support PID loop tuning and process stability improvements.
- Maintain PLC backups and system documentation.
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, VFDs, pumps, valves, and control panels.
- Diagnose IO signals, sensors, transmitters, and instrumentation issues.
- Support field wiring, signal verification, and actuator troubleshooting.
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency breakdown response.
- Assist in equipment commissioning and automation upgrades.
- Coordinate with Maintenance team for integrated troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Provide electrical and control system support during mechanical repairs.
- Support root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Participate in preventive maintenance planning for control‑related components.
- Support CIP automatic sequence control and interlocks.
- Support pressing hydraulic and automation systems.
- Work closely with Production, QA, and Engineering teams.
- 5+ years of industrial electrical and controls experience.
- Hands‑on experience with Siemens PLC systems.
- Experience modifying PLC logic and adjusting process parameters.
- Ability to troubleshoot live production systems independently.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience in food or fermentation manufacturing.
- Experience with PID control systems.
- Familiar with CIP systems and process automation.
- Physical Requirement: Standing, walking, climbing, and lifting 50 lbs.
- Physical Requirement: Work in hot/wet production environment.
- Scheduling: This is a full‑time position. Additionally, Saturday work or overtime may be required.
