Objectives
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely, in-depth troubleshooting and repair, and preventative maintenance of machines and equipment.
Main TasksPerformance of tasks in line with the Corvaglia Closures USA values and ensuring a safe work place.
Planning, performance and documentation of preventive maintenance and repair work on machinery, systems and the associated peripheral equipment.
Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility. Troubleshooting and rectification of faults suffered by machinery, systems, operating facilities and power supply systems.
Documentation of performed maintenance work.
Periodic safety checks of systems subject to mandatory tests.
Installation, conversion and adjustment of assembly system.
Where necessary, support of production activities during set-up and optimization work performed on machinery and systems.
Training of production employees.
On-call service to ensure smooth production.
Suspension of production in the event of risks to people and the environment.
Requesting help from third parties (cranes, lifting systems, gates, E-Systems, cooling unit, ventilation system).
ResponsibilityEnsuring of best possible production facility
Documentation and archiving of all relevant data
Planning and implementation of maintenance, repair and conversion work as well as rectification of faults suffered by technical systems
Compliance with measures aimed at ensuring occupational safety, hygiene and accident prevention.
AuthoritiesProcurement of information and provision of advice internally and externally.
Requirements Profile Education and trainingAssociate’s Degree in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing automation or other similar manufacturing-related specialization.
Minimum Experience- At least three years of professional experience in a similar area of activity.
- Experience working with electrical/electronic systems.
- Existing knowledge in the fields of maintenance, building systems or electrical engineering.
- Knowledge in the areas of hydraulics, pneumatics and control engineering.
- HMI – PLC knowledge and troubleshooting.
- Experience in the repairing of machinery and assembly systems in Injection Molding facility.
- Experience with automated vision systems.
- Maintenance work in a food safe environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft programs.
- Experience working with CMMS.
- Knowledge and experience in HVAC or building systems.
- Knowledge of general mechanical engineering (repair of mechanical components).
- Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
- Involvement in developmental project work including working with operations and parts vendors.
- Very good analytical approach and communication skills.
- Innovative, team-oriented and independent.
- Reliable, flexible and structured approach to work.
- Able to work under pressure, determined, open and friendly.
