Arcan Capital is dedicated to creating exceptional returns for our investors by providing outstanding homes for our residents. As a Real Estate Accountant, you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between property financial performance and onsite management operations.
Job SummaryYou will become an expert in property management software and monitor property budgets, review financial statements, oversee banking activity, and help identify solutions to operational challenges by directly assisting onsite and regional teams across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Operate within AI-powered CRM and Yardi platforms to support financial and operational tracking.
- Assist asset management with monthly financial statement and budget reviews.
- Monitor and supervise banking transactions and payment activities.
- Prepare, coordinate, and communicate a variety of financial and operational reports.
- Analyze property budgets and recommend strategies for increased efficiency.
- Identify and correct financial inconsistencies and operational issues.
- Collaborate with on-site teams and asset management to drive property performance.
- Monitor weekly and monthly reporting to ensure operational excellence.
- Apply financial strategies directly to operational initiatives to improve results.
- Strong financial, accounting, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Customer service mindset with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Flexibility to travel for site visits and operational evaluations.
- Positive, professional attitude with a commitment to achieving excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in accounting, real estate analysis, asset management, property operations, or financial reporting is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday (40 hours per week).
- Flexibility for occasional day or overnight travel within the southeastern U.S. is required.
