Warehouse Operative

Are you looking for a stable role within a friendly, established team in the heart of Newmarket? We are looking for a hardworking and proactive Warehouse Operative to join a local business that values its staff. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You won't just be stuck behind a workstation; you'll be an integral part of the workflow, ensuring our customers get exactly what they need, when they need it.

As the Warehouse Operative, you will be based locally in Newmarket, working Monday to Friday 8h00 to 16h30. This is a temporary-to-permanent position for the right person. There is a lovely culture, and you will get the chance to work in a friendly, welcoming team environment. There will be full support to help you learn the ropes and succeed in the role.

• Picking and packing orders with accuracy and care.
• Emptying containers, offloading pallets, and rebuilding them for dispatch (you'll need to enjoy staying active!).
• Calling clients to verify delivery addresses or confirm order details—friendly communication is key here.
• Using the computer to send occasional emails or update records.
• Proactively identifying tasks that need doing and getting on with it.

• Communicating confidently with clients over the phone and with teammates.
• Comfortable using a computer and sending professional emails.
• Quick learner, eager to work hard, and genuinely want to grow with a good company.
• Physically fit and happy to manage lifting and manual handling tasks.
• Reliable and committed to being a long-term part of the stable team.
