Position: Technical Claims Executive (Insurance)

Technical Claims Executive – Newmarket, Suffolk

Position:
Technical Claims Handler – Salary £40,000 to £50,000, excellent benefits package, hybrid working (part-time hours considered).

Overview

Jigsaw Recruitment is recruiting for a well respected, independent Insurance Brokerage who require a technical Claims Handler to join their team in Newmarket. The role offers hybrid working and can also be considered as part-time.

Responsibilities
  • Managing claims from notification through to closure, including large and complex losses, across all classes.
  • Acting as a referral point for technical enquiries within the Claims team and wider business.
  • Leading Claims review meetings with clients, including producing relevant Claims reports.
  • Supporting the Claims Manager with workloads as required.
  • Driving improvement to our Claims function and customer service by continuously reviewing processes and supporting change as appropriate.
  • Keeping electronic files up to date in Acturis, in order and all work tasked and diarised accordingly.
  • Providing a high level of customer service to all of Yutree’s personal, SME, corporate and wholesale clients at all times in writing, over the phone and face to face as appropriate.
  • Proactively building and managing relationships with key clients, insurers, loss adjusters and claims companies to ensure that all Claims issues can be addressed efficiently.
  • Maintaining relationships within the Claims team.
  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the general insurance market, including attending networking and supplier events as appropriate.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience managing claims from notification through to closure, including large and complex losses, across all classes.
  • Experience acting as a referral point for technical enquiries within the Claims team.
  • Experience leading Claims review meetings with clients and producing relevant Reports.
  • Experience supporting the Claims Manager with workloads.
  • Experience driving improvement in Claims function and customer service via process review and change support.
  • Experience keeping electronic files up to date in Acturis.
  • Experience providing high level customer service to personal, SME, corporate and wholesale clients.
  • Experience building and managing relationships with key clients, insurers, loss adjusters and claims companies.
  • Knowledge of the general insurance market and attendance at networking/supplier events.
