Mechanical Design Engineer

CREM Recruitment has been appointed to recruit for this prestigious, well established business. Our client is looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer, reporting to the Engineering Manager to join their team just outside Newmarket (CB8).

• Work closely with the Mechanical Design Team to further the development of new products and progress existing products.
• To develop and design new products to specification.
• Implement new products to manufacturing.
• Design tooling, assembly aids and fixtures for manufacture internally and externally.
• The production of work instructions from 3D models.
• Using DfMA methodology support programs for NPI including tolerance and design optimisation.
• At all times be mindful of new processes and manufacturing methods that can be offer better efficiencies within the legacy, BAU product range.

• HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3D CAD Solid Modelling experience, ideally, minimum 3 years experience with Solid Works.
• 2D Cad Experience - AutoCAD.
• Solid project management skills.
• Exposure to Automated, Manual, Product Testing and Machining manufacture techniques.
• Comfortable communicating internally and externally at all levels of the organisational strata.

Monday - Friday, 39 hours per week.

• c. £35,000 - £40,000 equivalent per annum.
