Reporting to an experienced Senior Project Manager, who will nurture and support you to be the best you can be! We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager who is eager to grow their career in construction project management.
This position supports the successful management and delivery of our capital development projects. Operating as part of the Development team, this role provides structured assistance across tender preparation, contractor engagement, contract administration, Green Star certification and general project delivery. The position ensures that strategic projects are executed to required time, cost, quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities will include:- Support the delivery and handover of assigned projects on time, within budget.
- Assist with the preparation, collation, and coordination of tender documentation and contract packages.
- Provide contract administration support, including attending and minuting meetings, managing and following up on RFIs and actions, and coordinating purchaser variations.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including village operations teams, consultants, contractors, local authorities, and neighbours.
- Support the execution and administration of NZS 3910/3915 contracts, ensuring compliance and consistency with governance framework.
- Assist in managing project completion and handover activities, including compiling handover manuals and coordinating defecting and close‑out processes.
- Contribute to project risk, programme, and cost control processes through accurate and timely reporting.

- Experience in risk management and issue escalation to minimise exposure.
- Proficiency with digital project management tools and online documentation systems.

- Familiarity with handover and defect resolution processes.
- Site‑based construction or property project experience desirable.
