Responsible for cleaning and general housekeeping of town facilities, facility set up and tear down for user groups and events; building cleanliness, garbage removal, washroom maintenance. Provides assistance and customer service to general public and user groups.
Job Requirements Practical working knowledge of health and safety Diese regulations and trained in WHMIS procedures to deal with equipment, cleaning chemicals and facility maintenance.Janitorial knowledge and the ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor waxers, scrubbers, cleaning chemicals etc.).Ability to read and comprehend WHMIS labels, complete logs and incident reports. loneliness>Current First Aid and CPR training would be an asset.Flexibility/availability for shift work, weekends and evenings.Flexibility/availability for special events as required.Ability to deal courteously and effectively with user groups, general public, program participants.A Vulnerable Screening Sector is required.
