We are currently seeking a Clinical Manager, Emergency Department to join our team.
Reporting to the Director, Emergency, Trauma and Critical Care the successful candidate will:
Act as a leader and member of the management team within the program/clinical area, works collaboratively with the Manager of Emergency Department & Trauma, Operational Excellence and Strategy.

** What you'll be doing:
*** This role is primarily responsible and accountable for the coordination and direction of all patient care-related activities within the area.
* All nursing staff assigned to the clinical area report directly to the clinical manager regarding patient care and staff issues.
* Provides an environment that supports and advances professional practice.
* Leads the team in implementing evidence-based practices that are sensitive to limited resources within a patient-centred care philosophy.
* The clinical manager will also lead the teams in coordinating follow-up safety incidents and liaise between professional/credentialed staff and hospital staff.
* Demonstrate the Southlake value of Courage to think differently, this individual will champion innovation within the Emergency Department and help the team implement evidence-based process alignment with the hospital’s strategy plan.

* What you bring:
*** Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario or equivalent Registration in a Registered Health Profession.
* Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or equivalent degree in a health related discipline required
* Master’s degree in a health-related discipline preferred
* Minimum of three (3) years Management/Leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
* Member in good standing in the appropriate regulatory college
* Demonstrated critical thinking, decision making and organizational skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
* Demonstrated excellence and experience in a healthcare setting.
* Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, communication, team building, facilitation and coaching skills that encourage positive interactions among all members of the health care team.
* Demonstrates proven ability to manage conflict resolution;
* Highly developed analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills
* Demonstrates commitment to the visions, goals, missions and values of the Health Centre
* Demonstrates a strong patient and family focused philosophy in all interactions.
* Proven leadership skills in organizational and clinical change management initiatives
* Demonstrates strong negotiation, influencing and consensus building skills
* Demonstrated coaching, mentoring and team building skills that facilitate positive interactions among all members of the health care team.
