Position SummaryWe are seeking a full-time, permanent Psychologist or Psychological Associate to provide psychological services. The successful candidate will practise as a regulated health professional, be professionally accountable for their clinical work in accordance with the standards, guidelines, and ethical principles of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO), and work within a multidisciplinary treatment environment.
ScheduleIn-person – Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (40 hrs/week).
CompensationPsychological Associate: CAD
100,000-CAD
130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.
D., eligible for autonomous practice): CAD
120,000-CAD
160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The position includes a comprehensive benefits package and pension plan.
Responsibilities- Conduct psychological assessments and produce integrative reports summarizing the findings and conclusions of the multidisciplinary assessment team.
- Conduct individual and group psychotherapy within a multidisciplinary clinical setting.
- Develop and deliver educational and psycho educational workshops that support the clinical goals, treatment approach, and scope of Southdown’s programs for clients, stakeholders, and target populations in the wider community.
- Carry out the above duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the Guidelines for Professional Practice and Ethical Principles of the CPBAO.
- Participate in on-call rotation as assigned.
- Participate in appropriate staff committees of Southdown.
- Engage in ongoing professional development consistent with identified priorities of the organization.
- Safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of all staff and clients.
- Promote a culture of health and safety throughout the organization.
- Respond to any other duties that may be requested.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.
D.) or master’s degree in Clinical, Counselling, or Neuropsychology, and eligibility for registration with the CPBAO. - Licensed and eligible for registration for autonomous practice as a Psychologist or Psychological Associate with the CPBAO.
- Comfortable with electronic record keeping and clinical documentation systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional and courteous demeanor with residents, staff, and external contacts.
- Recent Criminal Record Check required (including Vulnerable Sector Check, if applicable).
