Overview
Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T1802) role rting hourly rate: $17.75 USD per hour.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks; engage with guests to help solve their specific needs.
- Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
- Assist with Target Loyalty programs, including sign-up where needed.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and best practices.
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
- Explain and demonstrate features of the Target App and Wallet; assist with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering, directing guests to enroll and use these features.
- Handle returns following store policies; collaborate with leadership as needed to resolve guest issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and manage stock during store hours.
- Operate safely and follow safety policies; report hazards and take corrective action where possible.
- Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up orders, and drive-up returns while complying with laws and policies.
- Perform other duties based on business needs.
- You enjoy interacting with guests and helping others, including fellow team members.
- You thrive in a fast-moving, physically active role where teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving are key.
- You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak times.
- Effective communication and a welcoming, helpful attitude toward guests and teammates.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Willingness to educate guests about products and services and engage around them.
- Ability to use multiple devices and handheld scanners and other technology as directed; work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within time frames.
- Accurately handle checkout operations and cash office tasks as needed.
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
- Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required.
- Mobility for the duration of a shift; exposure to varying temperatures and environments for duties such as Drive-Up and carryout as needed.
