Position Highlights- Full Time, 40 hours/week
- Seasonal role with anticipated start date in May 2026, ending by August 31, 2026

The Statewide Planning Unit works with municipal, state, and federal partners to support delivery of projects and developing plans and studies related to land use, economic and community development, multimodal planning, federal and state transportation policy, and transportation equity. We are seeking Seasonal Workers to help organize and manage critical planning data and documentation that support statewide safety and planning initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student or early‑career professional interested in transportation planning, data management, or public policy.
- Locate and catalog final planning studies and Road Safety Audits (RSAs)
- Track and organize recommendations from approximately 125+ RSAs
- Upload and maintain documents in the SharePoint database to ensure accessibility and consistency across units
- Support the development of a sustainable system for future planning recommendations and RSA management
- Perform other related duties as required
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint or other document management systems
- Interest in transportation planning, public administration, or data management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Completed coursework or experience in transportation planning, urban or regional planning, Geography, GIS, public policy, or related fields
- Grade point average of 3.0 or higher in related courses
- Experience with interpreting maps through coursework, internships, or training
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and ESRI ArcGIS or related software
