Job Description
Are you interested in guiding the delivery of low-level embedded software for one of the most cutting-edge defence and aerospace projects in the UK? We are looking for an experienced low-level embedded software engineer to join one of our key delivery teams on the European Common Radar System (ECRS). You’ll be joining a team of 9 engineers across 2 geographic locations;
responsible for the delivery of multiple packages of work into the ECRS program.
- Strong low level embedded C programming skills
- Awareness of C++ and object-oriented design principles
- Experience of Agile development and the Atlassian toolset
- Experience in testing and integrating software with firmware and hardware
- Excellent debugging skills
- Awareness of RTOS principles
- Deployment of software to distributed hardware platforms, memory management techniques, device driver development, performance optimisation and interrupt driven designs
- Awareness of electronics, schematic design and the use of lab equipment
- Knowledge of developing software for high integrity, safety critical environments (DO‑178C)
