Auto-Electrician – Plant Machinery (Hemel Hempstead) Salary: £16–£20 per hour

Full-time, Permanent NEOS Engineering is recruiting on behalf of a busy and well-established plant maintenance company based near Watford. They are seeking a skilled and flexible Hybrid Auto-Electrician to join their team, working both in the workshop and on customer sites. As a Hybrid Auto-Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems on a variety of plant machinery.

This role combines workshop-based work with on-site service, providing variety and hands-on experience with modern and traditional plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic systems on plant machinery Carry out fault-finding on hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic systems Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment Support workshop and on-site teams to ensure machinery is operational and safe Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues to management Ensure all work is carried out safely, following company procedures and health & safety regulations Collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate clearly with management What We're Looking For Proven experience as an auto-electrician, preferably with plant or construction machinery Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and diagnostics Ability to work independently on-site and as part of a workshop team NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is desirable Own tools suitable for the role Flexible, reliable, and adaptable to changing work priorities Strong communication skills and a professional attitude Why Join?
