A fast-growing independent elevator services group, backed by a publicly traded parent company, is expanding its Modernization & Projects team due to sustained national growth and long-term project demand. The Role

You'll work with in the Projects / Modernization division, delivering full modernizations and major repairs on hydraulic and traction elevators. This role is focused on longer-term, local projects, providing consistency and structure rather than constant travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete full elevator modernizations and heavy repairs
• Install and commission microprocessor controllers and door equipment
• Carry out wiring, fixtures, hoist machines, pumping units, ropes, and packings
• Perform inspections and annual safety tests in line with OSHA and regulatory standards
• Assess existing equipment and advise on upgrades or modifications
• Work independently or as part of a two-person modernization team
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer communication

Experience & Qualifications

• Licensed Elevator Mechanic or Certified Elevator Technician
• 4+ years' experience in elevator modernization or heavy repair
• Strong hydraulic and traction elevator knowledge
• Confident with electrical diagnostics, controllers, and testing equipment
• Safety-first mindset and professional customer approach
• Full driving licence
• Comfortable with physical demands of elevator work
