Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
You will join our Electrification Automation business, responsible for delivering high voltage switch gear with its associated protection and control systems and services into our UK customer base. Part of being an apprentice at Siemens means you get to work on real life projects whilst being supported on a guided learning journey.
WorkMost of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work- Wiring electrical assemblies and preparing cables following diagrams and customer specifications
- Uploading configurations, setting up test systems, and supporting testing of protection and control systems
- Working as part of the Testing and Wiring Team, collaborating with other departments like project delivery and sales
- Learning to use engineering software, testing tools, and processes to help deliver solutions
- Assisting with factory and site testing, installation, and commissioning activities
- Taking responsibility for small projects and helping improve how we work
