Position: Business Development Manager (Permanent)
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a printing business in Newcastle. This position combines proactive new business generation with ongoing account management, ensuring strong commercial growth while maintaining excellent relationships with existing clients.

The role spans multiple sectors, including retail and food‑related markets, and requires someone who can confidently identify opportunities, nurture partnerships, and support clients throughout.

Key Responsibilities

* Drive new business development across the UK, building and maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities.

* Build strong working relationships with new and existing clients, taking time to understand their needs and business goals.

* Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and pitches that clearly explain the company’s services and value.

* Carry market and competitor research to spot trends and potential opportunities.

* Manage the full sales process from first contact through to negotiation, onboarding, and ongoing account support.

* Work closely with internal teams such as operations and account support to ensure smooth delivery for clients.

* Keep CRM systems up to date with accurate records of activity

* Attend industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings to represent the business

* Consistently achieve or exceed sales and account growth targets.

Requirements

* Previous sales experience within print or packaging sector.

* Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to manage and grow client accounts.

* Confident communicator with good negotiation and presentation skills, comfortable speaking with senior contacts.

* Commercially aware, able to spot opportunities and turn them into long‑term business.

* Well‑organised, able to handle multiple tasks and work independently when needed.

* Self‑motivated and target‑driven, with a positive approach to achieving results and supporting clients
