Overview

As a Specialist Sales Account Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving growth and ensuring customer satisfaction within the passive fire industry. Acting as the trusted expert in your territory, you’ll engage with customers to understand their requirements for passive fire solutions on construction project sites across the North East and Scotland. Your responsibility will be to understand passive fire standards and deliver fully compliant solutions that meet regulatory and safety requirements.

This role covers the North East and Scotland, giving you autonomy to shape the territory’s success. You’ll take ownership of growth by proactively driving new business development while strengthening and expanding relationships with existing accounts and key contacts.

What You’ll Do
  • Visiting customer locations and construction sites across your territory—Monday to Friday. Engage with current, new, and returning customers to build strong relationships, identify opportunities, and provide solutions that meet Passive Fire requirements.
  • Plan your pipeline proactively, combining proven approaches with creative thinking to uncover new opportunities—supported by our advanced tools and training.
  • Stay informed on products and market trends to bring a positive, solution-focused mindset to every customer interaction.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience as a Technical Sales professional, Passive Fire trade specialist, or a degree-qualified Engineer in a related discipline such as Civil, Mechanical, or Structural engineering.
  • Strong understanding of construction site processes, procedures, and environments, ideally supported by hands-on on-site experience.
  • Experienced in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, with a strong ability/drive to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently, managing your time and priorities effectively.
  • Resilience and adaptability, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels—from Site Operators to Managing Directors.
  • A solution-oriented approach, with the ability to uncover customer pain points and present tailored, value-driven solutions.
  • A natural sense of drive, curiosity, and self-motivation to succeed, learn, and grow.
  • Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
What’s In It for You
  • A competitive base salary and uncapped bonus potential.
  • Company vehicle and a fuel/charging card.
  • Extensive onboarding and training process and company wide events in Manchester.
  • 33 days holiday (inc. Bank Holidays) plus paid days off for personal milestones and life events.
  • You also have the opportunity to buy additional leave days each year.
  • Private healthcare, life insurance and wellbeing support.
  • 6% pension contribution.
