Yard Customer Assistant – Travis Perkins plc

Joining our friendly and hard‑working family as a Yard Sales Assistant, you'll be on the front line dealing with customers that come into our yard. As part of the branch team, you will play a vital role in our continued success by providing a first‑class service.

Location: Burnopfield Travis Perkins, Hobson Industrial Estate, Burnopfield, NE16 6EA

• Deliver the highest standards of service and build strong, friendly relationships with customers.
• Process customer orders, load and unload customer and company vehicles.
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
• Operate a forklift (full training provided).
• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment, ensuring safety standards are never compromised.

As a key customer‑facing role, we need the ability to provide great customer service. The rest can be taught.

• Physically active – the role is outside and involves lifting heavy building materials.
• Friendly and outgoing, comfortable communicating face‑to‑face with customers.
• Adaptable, resilient, and tenacious with high energy and drive.
• Thrives in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
