IKEA Gateshead are looking for a creative and hands‑on individual to join our Visual Merchandising & Activities team.

Whatwe offer
- Start date:
1st February - Starting salary: £28,100 (based on skills and experience)
- 39 hours, 5 days per week, including occasional weekends; shift 06:00am – 17:00pm

- Higher education / background in Visual Merchandising, Creative Design, Art & Design, or relevant experience
- Knowledge of design software (Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office)
- Ability to perform everyday tasks with IKEA vision and long‑term goals in mind, self‑motivated, team player, strong organisational skills
- Commitment to IKEA values while working
- Practical, hands‑on skills and comfortable working with hand tools and at heights
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills, developing yourself and others
- Driven to exceed goals and improve ways of working
- Passion for home furnishing, design, and how people live

- Provide inspiring home furnishing solutions for single product or combinations that support convenient shopping experiences and inspire customers
- Use visual merchandising competence to strengthen IKEA identity in range presentation solutions by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality
- Stay updated on trends in home furnishing and retailing to generate creative directions that inspire and surprise visitors with a strong visual impression
