IKEA Gateshead are looking to welcome a Sales Assistant to join their Activities team.

• The start date of employment will be the 1st of February.
• Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
• 12 hours working 3/4 days per week, mainly evenings until 10:00pm and weekend shifts including 3 out of 4 weekends.

• You have a forward‑thinking mindset, are capable of working on multiple tasks and appreciate being part of the team while also able to work with minimum supervision.
• You have a customer‑first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
• You are collaborative, make clear decisions, and use your initiative daily.
• You prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of time in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.

• Support the implementation of seasonal range changes throughout the store.
• Act quickly on commercial opportunities; change the availability of products, overstocks and out of stocks.
• Support maximising sales by ensuring your area of responsibility is clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop. Some products may involve heavy lifting.
• Always be interested in the range, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design.
