Quality Management Lead - Civils

📍 Somerset (Site-based with some off-site working)

📅 Contract until end of the year (with possibility of extension)

💷 Up to £415/day PAYE or £564/day Umbrella (DOE)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Management Lead (QML) to support a major, high-profile infrastructure project in Somerset. This is a key site-based role, ensuring quality requirements are met across the full project lifecycle, from contract award through to construction, commissioning, and close-out.

The Role

As Quality Management Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring supply chain and contractor compliance with agreed Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, and inspection bodies to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and right first time.

The role is site-based approximately 3 days per week, with 2 days supporting off-site and supply-chain activities as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage project QA/QC arrangements across civils works
  • Develop, maintain, and deploy Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs)
  • Review and monitor Contractor Quality Assurance Plans (CQAPs)
  • Manage manufacturing surveillance, inspections, and audits

    Lead non-conformance management and quality improvement actions
  • Coordinate quality documentation, ITPs, LTQRs, and Quality Release processes
  • Act as a key quality interface between project teams, contractors, and inspection bodies
About You
  • HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline
  • Strong experience in quality management within civils, infrastructure, nuclear, or other safety-critical environments
  • Proven ability to work with complex supply chains and multiple stakeholders
  • Confident working in a site-based, delivery-focused role
  • Professional quality accreditation (or working towards) is desirable
