Quality Assurance Technician (Manufacturing)

Shift Pattern:
Rotating 3-shift system (Monday-Friday)
06:00 - 14:00
14:00 - 22:00

Manpower Engineering is partnering with one of our most prestigious clients, a global manufacturing organisation recognised as an Employer of Choice within its industry. With over 100 years of heritage, operations in 40 countries, and more than 300 manufacturing sites worldwide, this organisation is a true market leader.
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join their established team at their Newcastle site, supporting high-speed manufacturing operations on a rotating shift basis.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all critical process control parameters are maintained within specification
Take appropriate and timely actions to ensure the delivery of high-quality finished products to customers
Identify and analyse high-risk activities, trends, and events within the production process
Work proactively with manufacturing teams, using data-driven insights and personal initiative
Act as a central point of contact for customer-related and plant quality issues
Support quality standards across multiple work areas, working flexibly where safety and competence allow
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
Proven experience in a quality-focused role within a manufacturing environment
Background in high-speed production environments
Strong knowledge of ISO standards, SPC (Statistical Process Control), HACCP, and Continuous Improvement methodologies
Confident using data, systems, spreadsheets, and databases to support quality decisions
Desirable:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering or technical discipline
Personal Attributes
A strong team player with a commercial mindset
Self-motivated, methodical, and systematic in approach to problem-solving
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and support change
Demonstrates leadership qualities and an ability to support continuous improvement initiatives
