The Area Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the IPS Newcastle Sales team. You will be responsible for setting sales strategy and directing execution for the Sales function ensuring optimal customer problem resolution resulting in an "Unmatched Customer Experience". The role focuses on achieving revenue targets, expanding market share, and ensuring excellent customer service while aligning with company strategy and values.
You will continuously work in partnership with the Area General Manager (AGM) to successfully collaborate with the Operational team; ensuring we are all working as OneIPS to achieve business success.
Sales & Strategy- Set sales strategies and oversee execution, partner with the AGM to ensure affective and efficient product lines delivery.
- Accountable for the sales process from beginning to end, ensuring collaboration between the sales team and operations. Including but not limited to the CRM, tender and quotation processes.
- Own the strategic narrative, developing growth drivers.
- Assesses opportunities, align corporate growth priorities, and measures results.
- Develop and execute business strategy and annual operating plans (AOP)
- Monitor financial, sales, cost, operating, and customer service trends, and make necessary adjustments.
- Drive sales excellence by leveraging the CIPS system to achieve safety, operational, profit, and customer KPI goals.
- Optimize resource allocation and utilization to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Apply organization design practices to optimize structure and enable growth.
- Working in partnership with the AGM, analyze financial data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
- Implement innovative solutions and best practices to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Work with cross-functional teams to optimize resources and overcome business challenges
- Liaise with the wider management team with regard to actions arising from information concerning quality from internal audits, external audits and customer satisfaction survey results; advising the sales team accordingly in these areas.
- Analyze industry, market, and service centre trends to capture opportunities and address issues
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Proactively address customer needs and exceed expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Empower and develop team members to reach their full potential.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, AGM and customers.
- Effectively manage the Performance Enablement process; ensuring your direct report have objectives aligned to the company strategy and provide coaching to help them achieve their goals.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration by encouraging, supporting, and enabling your team through servant leadership, actively listening to input from the team, and building a unified OneIPS culture between sales and operations.
