Overview

Based in the RVI, the post holder will provide supervisory support to all domestic and rapid response staff. The post holder will be responsible for supervising the hotel services domestic team, supervising cleaning methods and frequencies in designated areas of the hospital, ensuring required standards are achieved in line with Infection Control and national standards. The post holder will also carry out audits and ensure any required actions are undertaken.

This is a part time role to supervise domestic assistants with responsibilities including training on machinery, correct cleaning methods and ensuring mandatory training is kept up to date. The role involves working with teams to provide an efficient and effective rapid response service to the trust.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the domestic assistants and rapid response team to ensure duties are carried out safely using correct procedures and materials at frequencies laid down in the specification of work.
  • Supervise cleaning methods and frequencies in designated areas of the hospital to meet required standards.
  • Train domestics to use machinery and the correct methods of cleaning.
  • Ensure timely completion of PLB/appraisals for domestic staff and action any development plans.
  • Ensure all mandatory training is completed on time.
  • Adhere to the civility charter and display good practice.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Hold or be working towards an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to motivate large staffing groups and work as part of a team or on own initiative.
  • Flexibility to business needs.

    It is a requirement that successful candidates who require a DBS pay for their certificate. The cost is deducted from the first month’s pay.
