Employer location:

Salary:
Up to £400 per day (inside IR35).

We have been engaged by a well‑established chemical manufacturing company to secure a Health and Safety Manager to support key projects across the HSE function. The role will report to the Head of Health and Safety.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee key new construction projects across the site to completion.
• Monitor key performance indicators across projects, identifying areas for improvement and providing solutions to ensure best practice.
• Provide support to project teams and manage contractors on compliance requirements, site visits, and oversight of 3rd parties for SHE delivery.
• Provide ad‑hoc support for safety audits, in line with audit plan and associated protocols, coaching others in audit good practice.
• Lead and deliver SHEQ improvement activity by supporting the SHEQ Manager and wider department through agreed improvement activities.

Qualifications and experience:

• Experience with in construction health and safety, heavy lifting and demolitions.
• Experience with in COMAH or high-hazard industry.
• Proactive and self‑motivated approach.
• Ideally a NEBOSH, NVQ 5, or NCRQ diploma (or equivalent).
• Membership of IOSH (Graduate or Chartered).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation.
