Overview
The Shield, a 409-bed property, are looking to appoint a Maintenance Technician to work Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm. Are you a problem solver with a knack for fixing things? Do you thrive in a role where you are accountable for ensuring the smooth running of minor reactive repairs and carrying out planned maintenance? If so, Fresh have just the role for you!
As Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for statutory compliance for your building, as well as managing the large commercial waste bins stored outside the building. You will be the go-to expert on all things maintenance, handling routine fixes and tackling unexpected issues, and most importantly you’ll be accountable for making the building a welcoming, safe place for our residents to live.
We’re looking for a hands-on individual with the ability to fix, maintain and improve the building. You will bring a blend of technical expertise, a strong work ethic, and an upbeat attitude when things get challenging. You’ll need to display a solid background in maintenance, as well as being resourceful and a problem solver for everyday issues.

Responsibilities- Carry out minor reactive repairs and planned maintenance for the building.
- Ensure statutory compliance for the building and manage the large outdoor waste bins.
- Provide hands-on maintenance support and act as the go-to expert for maintenance-related issues.
- Solid background in building maintenance with practical, hands-on skills and problem-solving ability.
- Resourceful, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work the stated hours and adapt to the needs of the property.
