We have an opportunity for aSenior Business Development & Marketing Advisor to join our national Business Development, Marketing & Communications teambased in Sydney.
The role is responsible for working with partners on the BD, marketing and comms strategy across the national Commercial Practice which comprises of over 90partners across Dispute Resolution, Banking & Finance,Employment, Corporate & Commercial, Property & Projects,Private Client and Tax sections.
This role will also have adedicated focus on increasing brand awareness and profile in the Sydney and Newcastle markets and will also be allocated standalonenational portfolios dependent on the successful candidates’expertise, experience and skillset.
The role may require travel toother offices across Australia from time to time.
You will be responsible for:
- advising and supporting the relevant Commercial sections national partners and seniorlawyers on strategic firm and personal brand promotion,business development, marketing and practice developmentstrategies, and action outcomes - in line with firm and Sectionplans.
- advising the Sydney and Newcastle Partners in Charge on strategic firm brand promotion,business development and marketing;
- working with partners andsenior lawyers personal brand and practice developmentstrategies;
- identifying business development opportunities for the Sydney and Newcastlemarkets;
- advising and supportinginitiatives for key commercial clients;
- working with the Bids& Pursuits team on firm and commercial tender submissions;
- leading a range of otheropportunistic bids, such as proposals and capabilitystatements;
- directory and awardsubmissions;
- working with the Communications team to identify and action external profilingopportunities;
- leading relevant business and industry association relationships, including sponsor ships;and
- working with the Event steam on client, sector and national firm events.
Aboutyou
You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- 7+ years’experience in a marketing and/or business development position(professional services ideal);
- strong knowledge of the Sydney and broader NSW markets;
- tertiary qualificationsin a relevant discipline;
- ability to build and maintain effective working relationship with key firmstakeholders;
- strong influencing and negotiation skills;
- proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels;
- excellent written and communication skills;
- strong attention todetail;
- ability to multitask andmeet tight deadlines;
- team player;and
- proactive and strong problem-solving abilities.
