DV Cleared Dev Sec Ops Platform Architect & Engineer
Location: Hampshire
Security Clearance: Active DV Clearance Required
Rate/Salary: 650 to 750 per day - Outside IR35
+ Long term engagement
OverviewWe're looking for a DV Cleared Dev Sec Ops Platform Architect & Engineer to join a high-profile, secure military IT programme, delivering highly resilient, automated, and secure data platforms.
This role sits at the intersection of Dev Sec Ops , platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and secure data systems, supporting advanced research and large-scale data analysis in a mission-critical environment. If you enjoy building things that have to work first time, in places where failure is not an option, you'll feel right at home.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain secure Dev Sec Ops platforms supporting sensitive data workloads
- Architect and deliver automated CI/CD and Git Ops pipelines for rapid, secure deployments
- Develop and manage secure cloud and hybrid infrastructure
- Implement security-first engineering practices across the full SDLC
- Build and optimise data pipelines for large-scale data processing and analytics
- Design and operate containerised platforms using Kubernetes and modern orchestration tooling
- Embed security controls, monitoring, and compliance across all environments
- Collaborate closely with engineering, security, and operational teams
- ActiveHLC
- Strong experience in Dev Sec Ops and Platform Engineering
- Deep hands-on expertise with CI/CD pipelines and Git Ops tooling
- Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP - secure environments preferred)
- Experience designing secure, scalable infrastructure-as-code solutions
- Strong knowledge of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, etc.)
- Proven experience building data pipelines and supporting large-scale data processing platforms
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, zero-trust, and secure system design
- Experience working in defence, military, or highly regulated secure environments
- Knowledge of air-gapped or restricted network architectures
- Exposure to big data platforms, analytics tooling, or AI/ML pipelines
- Background in site reliability engineering (SRE) or reliability-focused platform design
- Work on cutting-edge secure military systems
- High-impact engineering - your work directly supports critical national capabilities
- Proper engineering challenges, not just "keeping the lights on"
- Long-term programme stability and excellent contract longevity
