Role OverviewWe are seeking multiple Dev Ops Engineers at Consultant and Senior Consultant levels to join a dynamic technology team in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role involves hands‑on delivery of cloud‑based solutions for major public sector clients, focusing on automation, infrastructure and collaborative technical environments.

The team collaborates closely with client technical groups on high‑impact projects, emphasising continuous learning and problem‑solving in a hybrid model.
Responsibilities- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using tools like Terraform, Ansible and CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab, Git Hub Actions, Jenkins).
- Manage containers and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS advantageous) and image building via Packer.
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions using ELK Stack, Dynatrace or similar.
- Support development teams with Linux environments, scripting (Bash, Python, Power Shell) and cloud fundamentals (AWS preferred, Azure valued).
- Engage in client‑facing technical discussions, mentoring juniors (at Senior level) and driving continuous integration/testing processes.
- Adapt to project demands with flexibility for occasional travel, while based primarily in Newcastle.
For Consultant 2-5 years' experience with strong fundamentals in Linux, cloud (AWS/Azure), IaC (Terraform/Cloud Formation) and automation tools; eager to learn and contribute hands‑on.
For Senior Consultant: 5+ years' experience, including mentoring or technical direction; excellent communication for client interactions; deep expertise can compensate for limited formal leadership.
