Director of DevOps hybrid

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, data-driven technology business that is investing heavily in its cloud platform and engineering capability. As part of this growth, they are hiring a Director of Dev Ops to lead and evolve their global cloud engineering function.

This is a strategic leadership role with full ownership of the organisation’s AWS estate, responsible for building a high-impact Dev Ops capability that enables software teams to deliver quickly, securely and reliably.

You’ll define the cloud strategy, lead a team of Cloud/Dev Ops engineers, embed modern Dev Ops and Fin Ops practices, and ensure the platform scales efficiently as the business grows.

• Define and execute the cloud infrastructure strategy aligned to business goals
• Lead, mentor and scale a global Dev Ops/Cloud Engineering team
• Drive Infrastructure as Code adoption (Terraform) and automation standards
• Partner closely with engineering teams to enable efficient CI/CD and self-service environments
• Ensure security, governance and compliance across AWS
• Own cloud cost optimisation and Fin Ops reporting
• Implement robust monitoring, incident management and disaster recovery practices
• Act as a key bridge between Engineering, Security, Finance and senior stakeholders

• Proven leadership experience managing cloud or Dev Ops functions
• Strong Terraform / IaC background
• Experience building and scaling CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and best practices
• Exposure to Fin Ops and cloud cost optimisation
• Strong stakeholder communication and vendor management skills
