Cyber North are looking for a Marketing Manager to join our growing team. This is a critical role to share our story and amplify the success of our members.
Role PurposeThe Marketing Manager will shape and deliver Cyber North’s marketing and communications activity. You will be responsible for strengthening our brand and supporting growth across membership, partnerships, and events.
This is a collaborative and strategic role for someone who enjoys both developing high-level narratives and delivering hands-on content and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities Strategy & Brand- Steward the Cyber North brand, ensuring consistency and clarity across all channels.
- Develop and deliver a communications strategy aligned with our regional priorities.
- Position Cyber North as a trusted, inclusive voice in the national cyber security conversation.
- Create engaging content across Linked In, Instagram, email campaigns, and the Cyber North website.
- Produce and manage a monthly Cyber North newsletter.
- Translate technical cyber topics into clear, human-centric stories.
- Showcase the impact of our members, students, partners, and regional programmes.
- Keep the Cyber North website up to date with new members, news articles, and job vacancies.
- Plan, organise, and promote regular Cyber North events, including Monthly Cyber Sips and Quarterly senior leaders events.
- Source venues and speakers, help shape event themes, and coordinate event communications.
- Work with delivery teams to encourage wide participation and post‑event engagement.
- Ensure partners and sponsors receive high‑quality visibility before, during, and after events.
- Support member retention and growth through inclusive, targeted marketing campaigns.
- Develop and maintain materials for membership tiers and partnership propositions.
- Maintain and manage the Hub Spot CRM system, ensuring member, contact, and engagement data is accurate and up to date.
- Engage authentically with the Cyber North community, both online and in person.
- Demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, or content-led roles.
- Exceptional storytelling skills with clear, inclusive written English.
- Experience managing digital platforms, particularly Linked In and Instagram.
- Experience using CRM systems, ideally Hub Spot.
- An organised approach to managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- A collaborative, proactive, and community-minded mindset.
- Experience in tech, innovation, or not‑for‑profit environments (not essential).
- Experience working with membership organisations or cluster-based communities.
- Basic design skills (e.g. Canva or similar tools).
