We are seeking a proactive and professional HR Officer to join our team at Malhotra Group on a temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an Employee Relations focused HR professional to work in a varied, high impact role within a dynamic multi-site organisation.
This is a pivotal role with a strong focus on employee relations casework, including managing disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, and capability processes. You will provide clear, practical advice to managers, ensuring that policies and procedures are applied consistently, fairly, and in line with employment law and internal best practice.
A key part of the role will be preparing and reviewing case documentation, supporting hearings and meetings, and guiding managers through often complex and sensitive situations. You will play a critical role in risk management by ensuring cases are handled thoroughly, professionally and defensibly. You will act as the first point of contact for employee relations queries, promoting best practice and helping to maintain positive and productive working relationships across the Group.
Alongside case management, you will also contribute to wider HR activity, including supporting recruitment, onboarding, sickness and absence management strategies, as well as assisting with employee engagement and retention initiatives to strengthen workplace culture. This role offers exposure to a broad HR remit while maintaining a strong ER specialism.
We Are Looking For An Experienced HR Professional With- Strong, hands‑on experience in managing employee relations cases.
- Good working knowledge of HR processes and employment law with the ability to apply knowledge pragmatically in a commercial environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong IT skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations sensitively and professionally.
- A calm resilient approach with a proactive mindset and strong problem‑solving skills.
- The confidence to advise managers and influence outcomes while building trusted relationships.
